Board Certified Behaviour Analyst

The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from qualified, team-oriented individuals for the position of Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  This is a permanent, unionized (O.S.S.T.F. – P.S.S.P.), 35 hour per week assignment. 

Nature and Scope of Position:

The Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) will provide expertise to the school-based team, supporting children with Autism and/or behaviour challenges/exceptionalities. The BCBA will communicate regularly with parents/guardians as part of the school base team. The individual will also have the opportunity to provide consultation, observation and data collection within the school environment.  The BCBA will assist with the delivery of training to staff within the Greater Essex County District School Board, designed to promote the application of Applied Behaviour Analysis as well as Functional Behaviour Assessments. 

Qualifications:

Β·         Completion of a post-graduate program in Autism, Behaviour Science or Psychology
Β·         Training in Applied Behaviour Analysis from a recognized facility
Β·         Experience in the application of ABA within an educational setting
Β·         Experience with the facilitation/leading  of adult learning and training
Β·         Experience working with children and youth with special education needs, in particular those who have Autism Spectrum Disorder
Β·         Well-developed organizational and coordination skills
Β·         Demonstrated skills working with a multi-disciplinary team
Β·         Experience with best practices in transitions
Β·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

CASUAL CUSTODIAN

OCCASIONAL CLERICAL WORKER

  • A minimum of a 2-year community college diploma in Secretarial/Business Administration.

TEMPORARY SUPPORT STAFF 

The Greater Essex County District School Board invites application packages from persons qualified for the position of Temporary Support Staff.  All successful applicants will be required to be available for day-to-day casual replacement and long-term assignments at various locations throughout Essex County and the City of Windsor. 

Preference will be given to those applicants holding certificates from an accredited college for the successful completion of the following programs: Support Worker – Hearing Impaired, Developmental Service Worker, Child Youth Worker, Early Childhood Educator, as well as other related specialized training and/or certification. A satisfactory Police Clearance is required.

TEMPORARY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

 

All successful applicants will be required to be available for day-to-day casual replacement and long-term assignments at various locations throughout Essex County and the City of Windsor.

QUALIFICATIONS:                   

  • Successful completion of a Computer/Information Technology program at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years work-related experience, of which 1-2 years is in network, software, and troubleshooting, and resolution specific in PC platform.
  • Experience in Mac platform is considered an asset.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as participate as a team member.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel throughout Essex County is necessary.
  • A satisfactory Police Clearance
     
    DUTIES:
  • Installation and upgrades of various hardware, software and operating system components for the desktop workstations, servers and peripherals.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of local area networks.
  • Performance of related administrative tasks, such as daily updating of the call log.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
