Mask Workshop for WCCA Actors

- preparing for The Trojan Women -

The Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts will stage The Trojan Women, an adaptation of a 2500 year old play (originally written by Euripides), in February at Walkerville Collegiate Institute.

The production requires the use of Greek-style masks which are being designed by WCCA graduate Mathew Burgess and created by members of the Stratford Off the Wall Artists Collective.

To assist the students' preparations noted actor/director/teacher Peggy Coffey will lead the cast in a mask workshop on Friday, November 24th at WCI.

Ms. Coffey has performed at the Stratford and Shaw festivals and many regional theatres across Canada. She began her professional career at The Canadian Mime Theatre. She has also taught and directed throughout Ontario.
