The Trojan Women
- a creative collaboration -

The Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts (WCCA) presents The Trojan Women, a powerful, classical Greek tragedy February 16-24 at the Walkerville Collegiate auditorium.

The play, an adaptation of the original by Euripides, is set at the end of the Trojan War and centres on the survivors - women who face an uncertain future.

WCCA students and staff have been working with Stratford Off the Wall, an arts collective of theatre artists to develop the props, costumes and sets. Cast members have undergone training with well- known Canadian actors in the use of masks for this unique style of presentation. As well University of Windsor Design professor, David Court has helped design the massive set and WCCA graduate Mathew Burgess has created the play's 20 different masks, armour and many of the intricate props.

Shows will be held February 16, 17, 22, 23 & 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and will be available at the door.
