GECDSB - St. Clair College Agreement Benefits OYAP Students
- Level 1 / Dual Credit Attestation -
Precision Metal Cutting students in the Greater Essex County District School Board’s 4 OYAP programs (Herman, Sandwich, Belle River & General Amherst) will be able to leap directly into the second year of the Precision Machining and Tooling Trades apprenticeship program at St. Clair College after completing high school.
A Level One / Dual Credit Attestation has been finalized for the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program students, who meet the requirements on their high school graduation, to move directly to the intermediate level at the college.
St. Clair College will host 65 current high school students and teachers to announce the agreement on Thursday, April 16th at 12:15 p.m. at the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing. Representatives from local manufacturing companies and the Canadian Association of Mold Makers have also been invited to the event. The students will then be taken on a tour of the facility.
