YES Celebrates One Year
- community outreach program -

The Windsor Police Service’s Community Services Branch along with community partners and the students of Westview Freedom Academy will celebrate the conclusion of the first year of the Youth Empowerment & Safety Initiative (YES) on Thursday, June 12th at 1:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

YES was launched in November at Westview to promote safety awareness, healthy relationships and positive decision making among all young people in the community. The program also encourages healthy physical activities and positive relations with law enforcement and health professionals.

The Safety Village, Sandwich Teen Action Group, Windsor Youth Centre, Crime Stoppers and Maryvale Adolescent and Family Services all participated in events and workshops throughout the school year.

The YES celebration will be preceded by Westview Freedom Academy’s first ever athletic awards presentation and pep rally.
