GECDSB Honours Service & Sacrifice
- school-based Remembrance Day presentations  -

Every year, in schools throughout the Greater Essex County District School Board, students and staff commemorate the sacrifices of those who served their country during armed conflicts around the world with Remembrance Day presentations and activities. Each school community has planned its own event for November 11th, collaboratively among students and staff.

For instance, at Princess Elizabeth Public School (5399 Raymond St., Windsor) an assembly is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. with students from Grades 1-8. Their selected theme is: Peace within ourselves; Peace with one another; Peace among all people. It will touch on inter-generational connections, with representations of remembrance through song and dance.

The media is welcomed to attend a Remembrance Day event at a public school in their community. Please note, though, timing of presentations differs from school to school.
