Partnerships Reduce Shortage in Skilled Trades
- GECDSB students training in OYAP Programs -

REKO Manufacturing Group has expanded its partnership with the Belle River District High School OYAP Precision Metal Cutting Program. The Lakeshore-based international company is providing students with tools and supplies as well as co-op learning opportunities on their shop floor. REKO is also offering students part-time jobs after school and on weekends.

Thursday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. the Greater Essex County District School Board will welcome a group of representatives from REKO to the precision metal cutting shop to outline details of their growing partnership and what impact it will have on an expected shortage of skilled trades workers.

Montel Plastics of Oldcastle, an international injection mold company, has joined REKO in supporting the BRDHS program with expertise and opportunities.
