Request for Change Form Reopened

- for elementary students –

The GECDSB is providing an additional opportunity for Elementary School families to request a change to their child's model of learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

The Request for Change Survey has been reopened to allow any changes in student learning model to coincide, as closely as possible, to the reopening of our schools to in-person instruction, which is currently set by the Ministry of Education for February 10th.

The date for model change is Tuesday, February 16th.  If the reopening of schools for in-person learning is further delayed based on provincial/local health conditions, then the change of model will also be delayed until the board is permitted to resume in-person instruction.

If the form had already been completed (between Dec. 30th & Jan. 6) and no further change is desired, then families do not need to complete the survey again, though an alteration can be made to the change already requested.

Families who are not choosing to change the current model of their child's learning do not need to complete the survey.

All requests for change must be submitted by Tuesday, January 26th at 4pm. To minimize disruption to student timetables and schedules, no changes will be accommodated after this date.

The model requested for a student at this time, will remain their model of learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

School office staff will be available to answer any questions about the request for change process.
