Students at Leamington District Secondary School will begin the new year, in September, with some improved resources in their brand new building, thanks to Corportations for Community Connections.
CFCC, which was started in 2010 by employees at Siemens Canada, has donated 30 refurbished computers to the school to provide them with greater access to technology for learning and innovation. Another 120 computers are being presented to other schools in Canada and 150 units are being sent to Costa Rica and Nicaragua to support learning in those countries. It's a commemoration of Canada's 150th anniversary celebrations.
The computers have reconditioned hardware and are loaded with Siemens' SolidEdge ST9 design software.
Philip Schaus, President of CFCC (pictured, left with LDSS student Eddie Neufeld) presided over the presentation at LDSS in late June.
