TVA Student-Athlete Receives Soccer Scholarship

​​Jazmine Scott signs UDM Soccer scholarship.jpgJazmine Scott, a Grade 12 student at Tecumseh Vista Academy has earned a scholarship to play soccer and attend school at the University of Detroit Mercy.

DETROIT (6/4/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team continues to prepare for the 2020 season as the Titans announced the 11th member of their recruiting class in goalie Jazmine Scott (Tecumseh, Ont./Tecumseh Vista Academy Secondary)
"Jazmine is a great late addition to our 2020 class," said head coach Steve Shelton. "We love her shot-stopping capability and her consistency with the ball at her feet. She has a great work ethic and someone that will fit perfectly into our culture"
Scott earned varsity letters in soccer, basketball and wrestling. She was selected a WECSSA All-Star in each of her four years of soccer, helping her team to three finalist appearances. 

She played club with the Nationals Canada Black 02, White Eagles Canada 01 and Nationals Macomb 01 Select and was part of Super Y Finalists programs in 2016, 2017 and 2018. With Nationals Canada Black 02, the team placed second twice and took part in several high-profile tournaments, including the adidas Blue Chip, Crossroads of America, and the Umbro showcase.
