Math teacher Alice Aspinall doesn't believe that success in her favourite subject is limited only to students who enjoy working with numbers. She's so convinced that she has written a book about it.
Alice, or as she's known on her YouTube Channel, Mrs.A, has published a lively little story about a girl, named Amy, a Grade 5 student who is frustrated with her ability to do math. Eventually, using many of the same characteristics helpful in the activities she likes, Amy finds she not only can do math but enjoys it.
Mrs. Aspinall teaches at Walkerville Collegiate Institute. Last year she was honoured by the GECDSB with an Outstanding Service Award. Her book is available in hardcover, paperback and digital e-book fomat. It is illustrated by a former student, Alexandria Masse.
