The members of CUPE 27, who are the custodial and maintenance employees of the Greater Essex County District School Board, not only keep schools clean and safe, they work hard in the community too.
After their recent (Sept. 12) golf outing at Belleview Golf Club in Woodslee they presented a check for $5,000 to the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association (pictured, left). It's the second year that CUPE 27 has supported the programs that help people with disabilities enjoy the physical, emotional, cognitive and social benefits of horseback riding.
CUPE 27 members are dedicated supporters of community organizations and also provide additional services for students through their Helping Our Students Succeed (H.O.S.S.) charity wing.
