Students and staff at Walkerville Collegiate Institute used a unique way to celebrate Black History Month with a workshop they called "Hairstory". It was a workshop, attended by approximately 60 students, on Black hair and what it means to be Black at Walkerville.
Hairstory gave them a safe place to share their personal experiences and positive ways to express their own diversity.
