Vincent Massey Secondary School Principal Joan Rankin has been honoured by her colleagues with a Difference Maker Award from the Ontario Principals' Council. The award recognizes a school administrator who has consistently exceeded expectations as a Principal or a Vice-Principal...someone who has made a significant difference at their school and in their district. It was presented at the OPC's annual meeting in Toronto.

Mrs. Rankin has also been the Principal at Tecumseh Vista Academy and Century Secondary School.​​
