Celebrating Random Acts of Kindness
You shouldn't really need a special day to be nice to other people, but there is one. On Friday November 1, Frank W. Begley Public School, and many others in Winsor and Essex County, participated in Random Acts of Kindness Day.
The students at Begley collected canned goods that were sent out to the community, and they received an act of kindness in return. Mr. Steven Mayo from RBC Dominion Securities and Canadian Tire donated a truckload of basketballs, volleyballs and soccer balls to the students.
Of course the Begley Broncos weren't alone, students at Kingsville District High School showed their spirit and support for Random Acts of Kindness.
DSCN1497.JPGThe student council provided coffee, tea and muffins for the staff. Pizza and cupcakes were enjoyed with the STEPS students along with entertaining games. Post-it notes with positive messages were also given out and students were able to stick them onto random lockers.
Random Act of Kindness Day brings attention to our ability to be selfless and think of others, with the hope that every day there can be random acts of kindness.
