Due to the current, mandated remote learning GECDSB secondary schools will complete the second quadmester via remote learning including assessments and evaluations.
Note: This is not intended for the Secondary Virtual School. The Final Summative Evaluation schedule for the Secondary Virtual School remains unchanged.

Secondary Exam Schedule Dates
Expectations for remote learning on January 25th and January 26th, 2021:
Period 3 (both Cohorts A and B) will run for 150 consecutive minutes, commencing at their regular school start time.
- Following period 3, students and staff will then have a 1-hour lunch break.
- Period 4 (both Cohorts A and B) will commence immediately after lunch, and will also run for 150 consecutive minutes.
There is an expectation that both 150-minute classes will have a minimum of 112 minutes of synchronous teaching and learning. Each period will begin with a synchronous start to welcome students and begin the lesson. A synchronous close at the end of each period is also scheduled to ensure that teachers are able to both check for continued engagement and consolidate learning. There can be a maximum of 38 minutes of asynchronous work during each 150-minute lesson.

Monday, January 25th - AM – A3/B3 virtual teaching and learning – 150 minutes: students work remotely with teachers on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
PM – A4/B4 virtual teaching and learning – 150 minutes: students work remotely with teachers on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
Tuesday, January 26th - AM – A3/B3 virtual teaching and learning – 150 minutes: teachers work remotely with students on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
PM – A4/B4 virtual teaching and learning – 150 minutes: teachers work remotely with students on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
Wednesday, January 27th - AM – A3/B3 students attend 150 minutes for final virtual final exam (if scheduled)
PM - FSE submission for all Cohort A4/B4 - students work with teachers on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
Thursday, January 28th - AM – A4/B4 students attend 150 minutes for final virtual final exam (if scheduled)
PM - FSE submission for all Cohort A3/B3 - teachers work with students on outstanding work and/or improvement tasks (including FSEs); and/or additional curriculum
Friday January 29th - **Re-write Exam Day for January 27 and 28 (moved forward sequentially).
Credit rescue virtually, teacher follow up on outstanding work. Resolve final evaluation conflicts/issues.
Monday February 1st - **Final Re-Write Day; Credit rescue virtually as needed, teacher follow up on outstanding work. Resolve final evaluation conflicts/issues.
