Building Tomorrow Together Every Learner, Every Day
Celebration of Construction

Construction of the new school on Campbell Avenue got underway in late May 2013 with the general contractor, Wincon, overseeing the site preparation.

Everyone in the school community was watching eagerly as fencing went up and heavy equipment moved and a large mound of earth appeared near the back of the site.  Over the next 12 months the job progressed to footings and foundations to structural steel, to finish work inside and out.

The building was completed in June 2014, ready for the 2014-15 school year.

To learn more about the project watch the student documentary, My New School on YouTube. On Tuesday, June 11th students, staff and guests viewed the premiere at Dr. H.D. Taylor and J.E. Benson public schools to celebrate the start of work.

Students entered the new school for the first time at the beginning of the 2014-15 school year with a celebration of opening in January of 2015. The celebration was held to show appreciation to all those who had a hand in the creation and realization of this West Windsor jewel.

A packed house of community members, staff, students and parents gathered in the gymnasium to listen as West Gate students of all ages described what the school meant to them and what it meant to be West Gate Wolves, ultimately welcoming the community to their new den.
