Caitlyn Humber is a grade 10 student at Belle
River District High School.
A bold and driven leader who leaves a positive impact within her
school and a model
citizen in her community. Caitlyn excels academically, maintaining a 94%
average and holds the highest-standing average in business and civics along
with the current highest mark in a Grade 11 course while only being her Grade
Caitlyn is highly regarded in her school
community. She is a member of student council, where she serves as the
Community Outreach Junior Chair. In this position she organizes and executes
all events relating to giving back to the community. She is the representative
of the school blood drive and currently has a large leadership role running in
the school can drive.
Caitlyn’s exemplary character extends beyond
the school community. Within the Greater-Essex region, Caitlyn donates her time
to supervise young children waking up early and staying long hours. She does so
with intentions of helping families and ensuring the children are safe. Outside
of school, Caitlyn has accumulated more than 100 volunteer hours and spends her
time helping children learn to figure skating three nights a week.
In addition to her community involvement and
academics, Caitlyn is bilingual. She is highly respected for her ability to
speak French and serves as the French translator during school events such as
pep-rallies and the Remembrance Day ceremony.
Caitlyn has displayed exemplary leadership and
a strong commitment to her school and community. She encompasses all that is
required in a great leader; compassion, diligence and initiative. Her positive
mindset and exceptional leadership qualities will continue to inspire her peers
and we are proud to congratulate Caitlyn Humber for winning the student of the
month for the month of November.
