English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered to adults 19 years of age and older who are Refugee Claimants, Convention Refugees, Government Sponsored Refugees, Landed Immigrants, or Canadian Citizens.
Visitors to Canada and those on Student Visas and Individuals on Work Authorizations are able to attend ESL classes but may be required to pay tuition fees and pay for health care coverage based on your immigration status. Contact the ESL office for details.
Classes are offered on a full or part-time schedule. The student timetable is based on site location, course/level availability and scheduling.
Prior to placement, all students are assessed using the CANADIAN LANGUAGE BENCHMARKS ASSESSMENT conducted by the CLARS Centre.
Assessment appointments may be coordinated at our locations or by contacting the Language Assessment Centre 519-253-2724. For more information, visit their website at larcwindsor.org
