Literacy and Basic Skills-Upgrade your skills in reading, writing, math and computers.
Jr. PLAR- Prior Learning Assessment Recognition-prepare to complete assessments to achieve grade 9 and 10 credits. Appointments can only be made AFTER meeting with a guidance counsellor.
The Adult Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) program helps learners prepare to:
- Complete secondary school
- Go to college or university
- Enter the workforce
- Get an apprenticeship
- Have greater personal independence
Those wishing to enroll in this program must be:
- 19 years of age or older (certain exceptions apply)
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residents, convention refugees or refugee claimants

Class Times
Classes are offered on a full or part time schedule. The student timetable is based on site location, course/level availability and scheduling.
- Mornings - 9:00 am to 11:30 am (5 days per week)(Windsor Only)
- Afternoons - 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm (5 days per week)
- Nights - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm (2 nights per week)
