Grade 8 Open House
The crowd of future Mustangs gathers in the cafeteria before the start of the open house.

On Thursday, January 17th, over 500 parents and Grade 8 students attended Massey's Annual Open House.  Grade 8 students and families were welcomed by Student Council Prime Minister, Hannah Girdler, School Council Chair, Mrs. Denise Vellinga, and Principal, Mrs. Melissa Nantais.  After a brief presentation on course offerings and registration, and a film created by Frank Varga, welcoming students to our school, Student Council members guided our guests on a tour.  At the various locations such as the Guidance Office, Learning Centre, and Math Room, Massey students shared their experiences in our school and provided sage advice to our future Massey Mustangs.  Afterwards, six lucky Grade 8 students won door prizes which included Indigo gift certificates and Massey sweatshirts.  Mrs. Nantais would like to sincerely thank Student Council for their leadership during this year's Open House.  What a great evening!
