The 2012 edition of Confessions of a Notepad, the Massey literary journal, has been awarded with the ranking of "Superior" by the National Council of Teachers of English and its Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines. 417 magazines and journals from schools in Canada and the U.S. (including American schools from India, China, Mexico, and Japan) were entered in the competition. Massey was one of two schools in Canada honoured with the "Superior" ranking.
Confessions of a Notepad is written and designed by Massey students under the direction of the English teacher, Ms. Dagg, and is a collection of the best poetry, prose, tweets, photography and art from throughout the school year. This most recent volume was chaired by former students Lydia Ding, Brandin Glos and Grace Quinsey, with editing, fundraising and promotion done by 35 other dedicated Mustangs.
