Vincent Massey’s future engineers built a pathway to achievement on Wednesday March 5th, 2014, when they competed in the Engineering Design Competition held at the University of Windsor.  This year's challenge was to design a mechanism using hydraulics to lift a car. 13 teams from Windsor- Essex county competed. Massey had two teams competing. Among the thirteen teams from Windsor-Essex County participating, Massey once again did not disappoint.  Rising to the challenge, Massey students incorporated concepts from hydraulics in order to design a mechanism which would lift a car to a given height.

Massey Team #2 designed a lever, and Massey Team #1 designed a scissor lifting mechanism, winning The Best Design Team Award and placing second overall!

Congratulations to Lily Wu, Chen Chang, Sandy Wong, Xinrui Jia, Kassem Bazzi, Milosh Zelembaba, and Mrs. Mohan, who showed once again that through their passion for science and innovation, Massey students can bring their ideas to life! â€‹
