Massey Walks for a Cause
Mustang spirit shone through the clouds on Friday October 3rd, 2014, during Vincent Massey’s annual Terry Fox Walk. The threat of thunder and rain did not dampen the enthusiasm and dedication of our Mustangs, who brightened the neighbourhood with their pink attire and paint as they walked! Although eventually cut short by a sudden downpour, the Terry Fox Walk proved to be a success in that it allowed the school to unite together for a cause. Our spirited student body not only managed to raise $4500 for Terry Fox, along with $1500 for Football for a Cure--- they also helped raise the spirits of those who have been affected by cancer. A special congratulation goes to Mr. St. Pierre’s class, who managed to raise $312!
We are proud of our students and staff… in battling the weather in order to promote cancer awareness, they have shown that their spirit of caring and dedication for helping our community can overpower and overcome any storm!
