Mustangs in Pink
By: Shahed Saleh
On the last day of October, Massey’s Mustangs decked out in all their pink attire for the annual Pink Day to support those with breast cancer. Students and teachers displayed their extravagant wigs, gleaming jewellery and everything in between – all in every shade of pink imaginable!
During the afternoon, students and staff took part in a Terry Fox walk around the surrounding neighbourhood. Though the weather was chilly, excitement amongst the Mustangs warmed everyone up for the pep rally at the back field. Student Parliament lead chants and recognized many of our senior football players, bidding them good luck for their game against Holy Names that same evening.
Though we lost the match, many students showed up on the fan bus to cheer on our amazing players. It was an enlightening day filled with the laughter of Mustangs and the satisfaction of taking part in a good cause.
