‚ÄčAll student transportation will be operating as usual

All Greater Essex County District School Board schools will be open and student transportation will operate as usual on Monday, October 7th, regardless of the outcome of contract talks scheduled for this weekend on a new collective agreement for employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

GECDSB teachers, administrators and education support staff will still be in schools and a plan will be in place to maintain student safety and building operations in the absence of striking staff, should a work stoppage occur.

‚ÄčAll grade 10 students in Ontario are required to write the OSSLT (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test) as a requirement for graduation.  The test is March 27th (no other day until the following year).  General Amherst is offering help sessions to those students who are interested.  Please click the link for information on the available sessions.
