Parent Transportation Survey

King Edward School Travel Survey

Dear Parents and Guardians,

King Edward is taking part in an active transportation project to make our students' trips to school safer and healthier. Our students, staff, and parents will work closely with the Greater Essex County District School Board, municipal staff, community groups, and public health. We are all working to achieve the goals of having fewer vehicles around the school at drop-off and pick-up times, and to have more students walk, bike, or take the bus to and from school.

Active transportation is a way to travel from one point to another using physical activity and not motors. Examples include, walking, biking, skateboarding, or rollerblading. Active transportation is good for our health, and it’s good for the environment with less vehicles on the road. This can also help make it safer for students by cutting down traffic back-ups and conflicts around the school.

Please complete this 5-minute survey to tell us more about your child’s trip to school. Your input is important in making our school as healthy and happy as possible. Knowing what travel choices you are making, and why you are making them, will help our school be as active and safe as possible.

As a thank you for helping us, you have the option to be entered into a draw for a prize. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you want to be entered. If you do, your name and contact information will be collected in a new form, so your information stays anonymous. There are three (3) gift cards valued at $50 for Canadian Tire.

Your answers will be confidential and anonymous. If you do not feel comfortable answering a question, feel free to leave it blank.

Thank you for your help,
