Lakeshore Discovery School was completed in February 2007. It replaced Puce Public School that was located at 962 Old Tecumseh Road.
The goal in designing the theme of this school was that everywhere students, staff or visitors look, there would be new and interesting things to discover. Our school board scoured the world in search of ideas and objects to include in the school. Some of the items contributed were by indigenous peoples living on a reserve in Saskatchewan, from artisans in St. Petersburg, Russia, from the dinosaur graveyards of Western Canada and the United States, from the plains of Africa, and the rain forests of Central America. We have literally hundreds of artifacts that have become part of our school. All these features and elements inspire wonder, curiosity, and discovery!
