The GECDSB is sharing this important information on behalf of the Windsor Essex County Health Unit:

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit would like to inform you that there has been a higher number of infants and young children reported with influenza (the flu) this year.

If your child is sick, it is best to keep them home from school and visit a health care provider as needed.

The Health Unit is encouraging everyone, especially children over the age of six months to get the flu shot.

The best protection against this years’ influenza virus is to get the flu shot.
