Grade 4 Ojibway Nature Centre Field Trip

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, the Grade 4 class from Parkview P.S. went to the Ojibway Nature Centre. We learned many things which relate to our science unit: Habitats and  Communities. We learned about three habitats: Tall Grass Prairie, Forest and Pond. We went on a hike through these three habitats and saw animals like the White Tailed Dear, Frogs and Chipmunks. We also saw endangered  animals like the Yellow Breasted Bird. We were also able to pet an endangered snake called the Eastern Fox Snake. At the end of our trip, we were able to see the Nature Centre. There were many things on display such as snakes. We also visited the Nature Shop. Everyone was able to buy something to take home. Our trip was awesome!
