Indigo Holiday Fundraiser

Give while you shop this holiday season.

We would like to put more books in our library and we need your support. You can help us raise money for our school while you shop for great gifts for friends and family.  Our online campaign makes it fast and easy to support our school while you do your holiday shopping.  You can also use your social media sites to let others know about our fundraiser.

For every $25, $50 or $100 gift card you buy, Indigo will donate a percentage of the sales directly to our school.  We benefit by getting new books for our library and you benefit by enjoying the convenience of buying an egift card and shopping online.

Here's how you can get started:

Go to

Search for:

Queen Victoria Vikings love to read

Click on "Support Now" to buy an eGift Card and a percentage of the sale goes back into our school library as new books.

Spread the word about  our holiday fundraiser with the great sharing tools offered by flipgive.  The more eGift Cards we sell, the more money we raise!

Tis the season to be reading!

Scholastic Book Fair

Thursday, November 14 to Tuesday, November 19.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Book Fair.  We had one of our most profitable fairs in years, selling over $2700 in books and earning over $1500 in commission.  That money will go back into the library to buy books.

Congratulations to all of our winners.  Elora Whitfield won the $25 gift certificate from the Family Night draw.  Miss Todd's Grade 1 class also got $25 in books for the classroom.  Emily Mayer in 3G won the primary colouring contest and Karl Zhu in 7C won the Junior/Intermediate contest. Guess how many pages are in the book was won by Vanessa Azzalini.  Guess how many candies are in the jar was won by Braco Hrustemovic and Jordan Damphouse.  Each of these students was able to choose a book from the fair.

Thank you to all the students and teachers who helped to make the book fair so successful.  We will have another book fair in the spring.

Eric Walters Visits Queen Victoria!

Eric Walters visited Queen Victoria on December 5th, giving 2 performances: one for the intermediate students and another for the junior students. His thought-provoking words inspired many students and teachers.  He kept us captivated with his many tales of his travels around the world gathering information for his stories.
