Riverside Secondary School
Rebel Leaders Run for a Good Cause
Once a year the Riverside community witnesses a unique event: ghosts, goblins, zombies and super heroes taking to the streets for a typical Halloween activity – a run.
This year, participants in the annual Riverside Halloween Fun Run will take on another epic fight. Themed Good vs Evil, the October 30th event will include a costumed 3km walk/run or 5km rollerblade through the community, costume contest, haunted hallway, BBQ lunch, and trick or treat.
The Riverside Secondary School Grade Twelve Recreation and Fitness Leadership Class has the responsibility to once again organize the Halloween Fun Run. This year’s event will include roughly 800-1000 people.
As in past years, the bulk of the proceeds will benefit the Kidney Foundation, but this year a donation will also be made to a Rebel Family in need and their young child fighting a rare type of cancer. Together the Riverside community can help him fight the evil he is facing.
