Whether due to illness, a medical appointment or other important events, there are times your child will need to be away from school. To ensure student safety as outlined in the Greater Essex County District School Board's (GECSDB) Safe Arrivals Program, it's important that you notify us if your child will be late or absent.
Reporting an Absence
If your child is going to be late or absent, please notify us through our online EDSBY system, or call us at (519) 256-4999.
COVID-19 Self-Assessment and Testing
All students must complete the GECDSB Self-Assessment Tool before attending school each day. You can also view how to use the self-assessment tool on the GECDSB YouTube channel.
Remote Learning Absence
We still take attendance during remote learning. If your child is not online and you have not reported their absence, you will receive a call from the school, inquiring about the absence.
