English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered to adults 19 years of age and older who are Refugee Claimants, Convention Refugees, Government Sponsored Refugees, Landed Immigrants, or Canadian Citizens.

Visitors to Canada and Individuals on Work Authorizations are able to attend ESL classes.  These individuals are required to pay tuition fees as well as pay for health care coverage based on your immigration status.  Contact the ESL office for details.

Class Times

Windsor Campus

Mornings - 8:45 am to 11:40 am
  • 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
Afternoons - 12:10 pm to 3:05 pm
  • 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Nights - 6:30 pm to 9:25 pm 

  • 2 nights per week
  • Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday
Leamington Campus

Nights - 6:30 pm to 9:25 pm 

  • 2 nights per week
  • Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday

Classes are offered on a full or part-time schedule. The student timetable is based on site location, course/level availability and scheduling.

What you need to have at registration:
  • Immigration Documents
  • Canadian Language Benchmarks Assessment (within 1 year of the date of the assessment or have been attending an ESL program within the last year)

Prior to placement, all students are assessed using the CANADIAN LANGUAGE BENCHMARKS ASSESSMENT conducted by the CLARS Centre.

Assessment appointments may be coordinated at our location or by contacting the Language Assessment Centre 519-253-2724.
