What is Literacy and Basic Skills?
The Adult Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) program helps learners prepare to:
- Complete secondary school
- Go to college or university
- Enter the workforce
- Get an apprenticeship
- Have greater personal independence
Those wishing to enroll in this program must be:
- 19 years of age or older (certain exceptions apply)
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residents, convention refugees or refugee claimants
Classes start September 5th, 2023 for day courses
Classes start September 11th, 2023 for VIRTUAL night courses

Class Times
Classes are offered on a full or part time schedule. The student timetable is based on site location, course/level availability and scheduling.
- Mornings - 9:00 am to 11:30 am (5 days per week)(Windsor Only)
- Afternoons - 12:15 pm to 2:45 pm (5 days per week)
- Nights - 6:45 pm to 9:15 pm (2 nights per week, Monday & Wednesday)
