Science @ BRDHS

Grade 8 Night Flyer

All students in Ontario must achieve a credit in grades 9 and 10 science. After successful completion of grade 10 science, students will have the option of specializing in Biology, Chemistry or Physics at the senior level. At their most simplistic, Biology is the study of living things while Chemistry is the study of matter and Physics is the study of force. Future health care workers are required to enroll in both Biology and Chemistry while future engineers are encouraged to enroll in both Physics and Chemistry. Of course, we hope students to enroll in all 3 sciences at the senior level to ensure as many post-secondary pathways as possible remain open.
