Department Overview

Welcome to Walkerville Collegiate Institute's Canadian and World Studies Department, where we embark on a captivating journey through history, geography, and global perspectives. From exploring the diverse landscapes of Canadian Geography to delving into the complexities of Canadian History since World War I, our courses offer a comprehensive understanding of our nation's past.

Discover the vibrant mosaic of our society in the History of Canadian Ethnic Groups course, celebrating the richness of cultural diversity. Journey back in time with Ancient Civilizations in grades 11 and 12, uncovering the foundations of our modern world. The Canadian and World Studies Department extends beyond borders, examining global issues in World Issues and Adventures in World History. Our Canadian Law course equips students with a solid understanding of legal systems, fostering critical thinking skills for informed citizenship.

 Join us as we navigate the interconnectedness of Canada and the world, preparing students to be well-informed, globally aware individuals.
