Please read the below information carefully
before submitting an Online Registration
If you are coming to us from ANY secondary school:
- Please request a transfer package from your current school and complete the online registration. You will be contacted to schedule a meeting with our principal prior to being accepted. It is very important to list your current school when you register online.
- If you would like to register your student to attend Walkerville Collegiate Institute for the 2025-2026 school year, and you are not within our school boundaries, you will need to complete the online registration.
- If you are from a GECDSB school and you wish to attend Walkerville Collegiate Institute for the 2025-2026 school year, you will need to submit your online registration and transfer package.
If you are coming from an elementary school outside the GECDSB:
- You will need to complete the online registration process and we will be scheduling a registration meetings. We will require a previous report card, as well as an attendance record in order to choose courses.
If you are coming from a GECDSB elementary school:
- If you are not from one of our Feeder schools (Hugh Beaton, Prince Edward, Begley Public School, King Edward) you will be given the opportunity to complete an out of district application online. Do not complete an online registration if you are from our feeder schools, you will automatically be enrolled at Walkerville, a registration day will be scheduled to choose courses.
Online Registration
Please click the icon below to start the online registration application. Once completed, and you received a confirmation code and an email. Please wait for the school to contact you to complete the registration. Please see below for a list of documents you will need to bring to your registration appointment.
Documents required to complete the registration:
1. Photo/ government issued ID
2. Transcripts and/or report card(s) from current school to update any credits in Ontario
3. Citizenship documentation if you are not born in Canada.
4. 2 documents for proof of address (acceptable documents are below):
a. Most recent property tax bill
b. Most recent income tax assessment
c. Most recent utility bill (includes hydro, water, gas or public utilities)
d. Mortgage, rental or lease agreement for the permanent residence
e. (must be accompanied by official receipt of payment. Handwritten receipt by landlord is NOT acceptable)
f. Most recent home insurance policy
g. Most recent cable bill
h. Offer to purchase a home agreement that is to be occupied as the permanent residence
i. (must be dated within the last 90 days)
j. Most recent bank statement
k. Valid Ontario drivers’ license (not temporary)
Helpful Online Registration Tips:
- When starting to type street name, you must choose the appropriate street from the drop-down list that appears. Once your address is entered, the name of your home school (home district location) will show.
- When entering the Date of Birth, you must choose the year and month from drop down lists, and then click on the day in the small calendar that appears.
