WCI Languages Department

Department Overview

Bienvenue to the Languages Department at Walkerville Collegiate Institute, where linguistic exploration meets cultural enrichment. Immerse yourself in the beauty of French language and culture through our diverse courses.

In Grade 9, students embark on an academic and open journey in French, laying the foundation for language proficiency. Grade 10 continues the linguistic odyssey with academic French, refining communication skills and cultural appreciation. At Grade 11, our University French course deepens language mastery, exploring advanced themes and literature. The culmination of this journey occurs in Grade 12, where students engage in enriched University French studies and have the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency through the DELF test, showcasing their language skills on an international level.

Join us in the Languages Department, where the richness of French language and culture awaits, and each course is a step towards fluency and cultural understanding.
