Department Overview

Welcome to the dynamic realm of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Walkerville Collegiate Institute, where we foster a passion for numbers, problem-solving, and cutting-edge technology.

Our Grade 9 Math courses cater to various learning styles, offering both de-streamed and locally developed options. As students progress to Grade 10, they can choose from academic, applied, and locally developed Math courses, providing a tailored approach to mathematical understanding. Used alongside other achievement information, such as report card grades and classroom assessment results, EQAO data helps educators, parents, guardians and students identify achievements, challenges and strategies for improvement.
