WCI Health & Physical Education Department

Department Overview

Step into the Health and Physical Education Department at Walkerville Collegiate Institute, where we champion holistic well-being and an active lifestyle. Our courses are designed to promote healthy living, physical activity, and leadership skills.

In Grade 9 and 10, students engage in the Healthy, Active Living curriculum, laying the groundwork for a balanced and health-conscious life. Grade 10 takes it a step further with Healthy Living in Large Groups and a variety of engaging activities, setting the stage for a lifetime of well-being. As students progress to Grades 11 and 12, they continue to explore diverse physical activities that contribute to their overall health and fitness. The Grade 12 Recreation course emphasizes the importance of leisure and recreation in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, the Healthy, Active Living Leadership course in Grade 12 equips students with the skills to inspire others toward wellness.

Join us in the Health and Physical Education Department, where we foster a culture of active living, promote well-being, and empower students to become leaders in the pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling life.
