The GECDSB proudly hosted its 13th Annual GSA Conference this morning — and what a celebration it was! Students from across the board came together for a vibrant day filled with inspiring workshops, a shared lunch, and meaningful connections with an incredible lineup of 2SLGBTQIA+ community partners.
During the event, Director Houston shared heartfelt words that captured the spirit of the day:
“I am proud of the work happening across our schools to affirm and uplift 2SLGBTQIA+ students. Your voices are vital, your stories matter, and your presence makes a difference.”
This annual gathering continues to be a highlight for both staff and students — a joyful tradition filled with learning and care.
A huge thank you to Chairperson Hatfield for her thoughtful remarks, to all of our community partners, workshop leaders, and dedicated staff volunteers. And of course, a very special shout-out to Walter Cassidy, whose years of passionate leadership have helped make this work possible. 🌈
