Student of the Month May

The GECDSB Student of the Month for May is Leamington District Secondary School student Krystal Robinson, for the theme of volunteerism.

Krystal is a grade 12 student who is dedicated to helping others. You can often find Krystal peer tutoring, working, or helping out in the community. She shows exemplary community service and is very involved in extracurriculars at Leamington District!

While keeping her grade average high, she’s done a tremendous amount of volunteer work in Windsor-Essex County....

B.A.C Virtual Tutoring Program for Students in Grades 1-6

This FREE program is for students of Black, African and/or Caribbean descent in elementary school who would like academic support in multiple subject areas (Math and Literacy).

Virtual Tutors will work one on one with eligible students to understand course content, while passing along useful strategies to help improve academic performance. 

Student Eligibility

• Student identifies as Black, African and/or Caribbean
• Student is working toward attaining the Provincial standard
• Student would like a tutor

Student of the Month April 2022

The Student of the Month for April is Sarah Dettlinger, a Grade 12 student at Kingsville District High School. Sarah is a model student for April’s theme of “initiative”.

Sarah is energetic and is never afraid to take action and try something new. She is a member of Kingsville’s Charity Club and she has a part time job at Zehrs.
