Student of the Month November 2022

The Student of the Month for November 2022 is Eugene Anekwe, a Grade 12 student at Sandwich Secondary School. Eugene is an outstanding example of this month’s theme, School Spirit.

Eugene is lively, energetic, confident and always tries to involve others in day-to-day school activities. Bellewood Bisons take home the 20th Annual Cereal Box Challenge!

The 20th annual Cereal Box Challenge has come to an exciting close with the Bellewood Bisons taking home the Cereal Box Challenge Trophy for the very first time! Bellewood, Talbot Trail,  McWilliam, Glenwood, Southwood and Central Public Schools collected and donated a record breaking 3.16 MILLION grams of cereal! Riverside Welders Covered Head to Toe

Students in the skilled trades, welding program at Riverside Secondary School have been tempered by the generosity of the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Welding Foundation.

The class is a recipient of an $11,000 Weldsafe Grant which covers each student from head to toe with new, high-end safety equipment. The CWB Foundation is a not-for-profit organization “working with partners to support and sustain the need for skilled welding professionals in the workforce”

KDHS Volleyball and Basketball Teams Head to OFSAA

Kingsville District High School has carried their strong athletic tradition into the 2022-2023 school year!

Board of Trustees Select New Leadership for 2022-2023

Trustee Gale Hatfield (Windsor Wards 5,6,7 & 8) has been acclaimed as Chairperson of the Board for the Greater Essex Country District School Board. She will maintain this role for the next year. 

The vote was conducted at the November 15th Inaugural Meeting of the Board, during which leadership and committee structures were established for the upcoming 12 months. This was the first meeting of this Board, whose members were elected on October 24th.
