Student Trustee Elections for 2025-2026

The GECDSB Student Senate is looking for two Student Trustees to represent student voices for the 2025-2026 school year! Applications open January 6 and close January 23.

Who We Are Looking For:

• One representative from an Essex County secondary school

• One representative from a City of Windsor secondary school

• Current Grade 10 or 11 students enrolled in GECDSB schools

What is a Student Trustee?
Student Trustees are elected by their peers to bring the student perspective to the GECDSB Board of Trustees. They also chair the Student Senate, which is made up of student leaders from each secondary school.

Responsibilities Include:

• Attending monthly Board Meetings and Standing Committee Meetings

• Leading and collaborating in Student Senate Meetings

• Advocating for student voice and inspiring fellow students

We are looking for enthusiastic students with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for public speaking and collaboration.
