Elementary Out of District

According to the GECDSB “Out of District Elementary Application Procedure”, elementary out of district applications must be received by September 1st of the current school year. This deadline is strictly enforced. A sibling of a student who has already been approved to attend an out of district school must apply in the usual manner with no guarantee of acceptance. Please understand that applying for out of district at any time may be denied based on open vs. closed boundary schools, potential Program and Accommodation Reviews, boundary studies, or capacity challenges, etc.

Please note that Out of District students do not qualify for student transportation.

Completion of the form does not guarantee placement at a requested out of district school. The Superintendent responsible for School Development and Design makes the final decision and applicants will be officially advised, by letter, whether or not the application is approved.
