The Greater Essex County District School Board is seeking up to five Black parents/guardians, community members, and/or staff with expertise and knowledge to join its Dismantling Anti-Black Racism (DABR) Implementation Committee for the 2026-27 school year.
The committee is composed of Black parents/guardians, community members, and staff. The primary role of the DABR Implementation Committee is to provide guidance and support to the GECDSB as it implements the DABR Strategy 2022-2027.
The committee meets four times a year, as well as additional ad hoc meetings as required. Onboarding will be provided to all new committee members to clarify roles and responsibilities and to bring them up-to-date on the work of the committee.

Candidate Eligibility
To be a member of the DABR Implementation Committee, you must:
- Live and/or work in the communities served by GECDSB, and
- Self-identify as Black, and
- Be a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a Black GECDSB student, and/or
- Be a community member or represent a community organization that serves the Windsor-Essex Black community
