What is OYAP?
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a school-to-work transition program that allows students to experience work in the skilled trades while earning cooperative education credits.
Who can participate?
OYAP is offered to all secondary students in Grade 11 or 12 at the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB).
How to apply
To apply for OYAP, students must be in a Cooperative Education course. The co-op teacher in collaboration with the student and parents will complete OYAP requirements.
If you have any questions about OYAP, ask your guidance counsellor, your co-op teacher or contact our OYAP Coordinator at j[email protected].
