Cathy Cooke is a Trustee at the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB), representing Windsor Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Cathy Cooke was born, raised and continues to live in the Riverside area of Windsor. She attended John McRae and Edith Cavell public schools from Kindergarten through Grade 8 then Riverside Secondary School, Kennedy Collegiate Institute and the Adult Learning Centre to earn her high school diploma.
She earned a degree in sociology and a certificate in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Windsor. Later, Cathy attended Michigan State University and earned a Master's degree in Social Work.
At a very young age, Cathy learned the importance of helping and advocating for others. Her parents, Sid and Betty, instilled a strong work ethic, community awareness and a commitment to public service in all their children.
It is a legacy that Cathy continues as a school board trustee and professionally as a social worker at the Regional Children's Centre, where she assists children, teens and their families.
