Christie Nelson is a Trustee at the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB), representing Windsor Wards 3, 4 and 10.

Christie Nelson

Christie NelsonChristie is passionate about and focused on her community. She believes in equity, accountability, safe learning environments, diverse staff, the promotion of good mental health and stakeholder involvement.

Previous to her election she has supported school councils, GECPIC, Police Auxiliary, Big Brothers and Sisters and social justice-driven projects. Christie advocates for those who experience systemic barriers to success and compassionate non-profit organizations focused on wellness and quality of life. She considers collaboration is the way to create the best public education experience for all young people and their families.

Christie is a graduate of St. Clair College (Law & Security / Journalism – New Media) and the University of Windsor (BA Communication – Media & Film).
